Shelton Johnson

Shelton worked as a National Park Ranger since 1987 in Yellowstone, Great Basin, and Yosemite. He served as an on-camera commentator for, and adviser to, Ken Burns’ PBS documentary film “The National Parks, America’s Best Idea” (2009). In 2010, Shelton hosted Oprah Winfrey & Gayle King on their camping trip to Yosemite National Park, and was also a guest on “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. He also collaborated with film maker Sterling Johnson on creating a PBS film version of my stage play, “Yosemite Through the Eyes of a Buffalo Soldier (2014).
