Michele Gee

Michele Gee is the National Park Service Chief of Interpretation and Education at the most visited national park in the country, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). Michele began her park career with the non-profit partner, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, in 2000 where she played a key role in the launch and development of the Crissy Field Center, a multicultural environmental education center focused on under-served youth and families. Michele also managed a variety of youth programs at the SF Conservation Corps. Michele studied Conservation and Land Management in Australia before graduating from UC Santa Barbara in Environmental Studies. Michele served on the CA Dept. of Education Task Force to develop a blue print for environmental literacy. She currently chairs the GGNRA Employee Diversity and Inclusion Committee, serves on the Executive Committee for Cities Connecting Children to Nature-SF and a board member at The Ecology Center in Berkeley, CA.
