For over a decade Ibrahim has been a passionate voice for the planet and its people. His career has spanned the public, private and civic sectors and been at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and civic engagement. Ibrahim is the author of Green Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet and contributor to All-American: 45 American Men On Being Muslim. He is is a former sustainability policy advisor to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and founder of the Brooklyn Academy for Science and the Environment. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, CNN.com and The Daily Beast. In 2013 NBC’s TheGrio.com honored Ibrahim as one of 100 African Americans Making history today.
