Emily currently serves as the Chief Environmental Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), where she specializes in climate change and toxics. Previously, she was an Environmental Health Advocate at Earthjustice. She contributed to and edited “Diversity and The Future of the U.S. Environmental Movement,” and co-founded the DC Chapter of the Environmental Professionals of Color Network.
Emily holds a Master’s degree from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and a B.A., with high honors, in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College. She’s a member of the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies Alumni Board and an Environmental Leadership Program Senior Fellow. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and son.
