Carmen G. Gonzalez is a Professor of Law at Seattle University School of Law, who has published widely in the areas of international environmental law, environmental justice, trade and the environment, and food security. She is past chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools, co-chair of the Research Committee of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Academy of Environmental Law, and member of the Board of Trustees of Earthjustice. Professor Gonzalez is the co-editor of the critically acclaimed book, Presumed Incompetent: The Intersections of Race and Class for Women in Academia. She holds a B.A. from Yale University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
