Antonio Díaz is the Organizational Director for PODER, People Organizing to Demand Environmental & Economic Rights, a grassroots environmental justice organization based in San Francisco. PODER organizes with Latino immigrant families and youth to put into practice people powered solutions that are locally based, community led and environmentally just. Originally from Texas, Antonio was a founder of People Organized in Defense of Earth and her Resources (PODER), a grassroots environmental justice organization in Austin, Texas, and the Southwest Network for Environmental and Economic Justice, a bi-national EJ movement alliance. Antonio served as a member of the National Advisory Committee for the First National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit.
